rebecca taylor spring 2011

There are SO many looks from this collection that I'm currently lusting over. And when I say so many, I mean that I loved 36 out of 36 of Rebecca Taylor's Spring looks posted on Rather than swoon over the intricate details of all 36 pieces via writing, I'll just  blog the maxi looks and internally digest the wonders of the other 30 or so pieces... (though I may have to blog about the others later...)

First of all, I'm very into the high bun. It's a breath of fresh air compared to the traditional runway hair -- though it still has an element of luxe that only models on the catwalk could truly pull off. Agreed? I don't think I could flaunt this do nearly as well...

Can we agree that this look is just STUNNING? I don't know where to begin. The buttery tone paired with the flouncy, daring shape of the skirt along with the "barely there" draping sleeves make for an extraordinarily classy statement; allowing the wearer to encapsulate the minimalist trend while not feeling too conservative. This one is a winner in my book.
Loving the pop of color. A great dress to flaunt your collar bones in, if you're into that kind of look (which I totally am). I'm not usually a big fan of the mid-calf dresses, but this maxi inspired dress pulls off the short look brilliantly. Perhaps it is the camel colored skinny belt that slims the waist so wonderfully. The pattern sort of reminds of Marc Jacobs, no?
GASP. this one is such a beauty. I feel like I'm staring into a beautifully lit sky with thousands and millions of stars and I'm laying next to the boy of my dreams and am just floating and wild with happiness. Do you not get this feeling too? I love the deep V cut and slinky straps, so sexy. Also, the cinched bottom, I believe it is, is a great alternative to the usual cascading bottom of other maxis.
This one is similar to the first look. If mermaids existed, this skirt would remind me of one. Whatevs, it DOES remind me of one. Love the royal blue paired with muted khaki green. Great and unexpected combo.
Body skimming and sexy. Perfection.
WAIT. I think the model is bare foot. Ahhh, if so, this makes the look even better. It adds to the, "walking on the beach after hours--look at my hair blowing in the wind--oh stop it, I know I'm beautiful", kind of look.
